Suggested Packing List

Clothing – should be predominantly neutral colours – avoid dark/bright colours.

Think layers in the daytime (mornings can be cool but afternoons will heat up and you should cover up legs and arms in the evenings.)

Pack for comfort not style – the lions don’t care what you’re wearing!

Underwear (pack enough for whole trip since ‘smalls’ not usually accepted for laundry)

T-shirts

Long sleeve cotton shirts

Shorts

Long pants

Sweatshirt/hoodie/fleece/down jacket – evenings can get cool around the campfire

Light anorak/raincoat (Nov – May) – something that rolls up small

(Swimwear)

Walking shoes (sneakers okay)

Sandals/flip flops

Sunhat/baseball cap

** Note that if your itinerary includes a local domestic flight the luggage allowance is 15kg per person in a soft bag. I recommend the hold-all style that have wheels on one end.

Camps all offer laundry services but please be aware that clothes are usually line-dried and often charcoal ironed – please allow at least 24 hours for laundry to be returned.
